⚠️ IMPORTANT UTILITY BILLING NOTICE ⚠️

The City of Crosby recently experienced a technical error with our utility billing machine that resulted in some residents receiving an incorrect utility bill intended for another customer.

If you received a utility bill that does not belong to you, please contact Crosby City Hall as soon as possible so we can identify the affected account and send the correct bill to the appropriate resident.

Additionally, if you normally receive a utility bill and have not received one, please contact City Hall so we can verify your account and provide you with a replacement bill.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this error may have caused. We appreciate your patience and assistance as we work to ensure all residents receive the correct billing information.

HYDRANT FLUSHING

Please be advised that the City of Crosby will be conducting its annual hydrant flushing beginning on Thursday, September 24th until completion.

Why We Flush Hydrants:

Flushing water mains removes natural mineral deposits and sediment, verifies proper fire hydrant operation, and ensures high-quality drinking water for our community.

What to Expect

Temporary Discolored Water: Your water may look rusty, brown, or milky. This is iron sediment stirred up in the pipes and is temporary.

Low Water Pressure: You might experience a brief drop in water pressure while crews work near your street.

Safety: The water remains safe to consume, though it may not look appealing.

What You Should Do

Avoid Laundry: Do not wash white or light-colored laundry during flushing hours. Iron-stained water can ruin clothing.

Clear Your Lines: If your water appears discolored, turn on a cold-water faucet (preferably an outside spigot or bathtub without a screen) and let it run for 5 to 15 minutes until it runs clear.

Check Before Use: Check your water clarity before running your washing machine or dishwasher.
