Meet Chief Mike Van Horn

 

 On behalf of the dedicated officers, staff and reserves of the Crosby Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our website. The Crosby PD is proud to serve our residents, neighbors and visitors.

I am proud to have been named Chief of Police and been given the opportunity to lead a fine group of Officers, as well as serve this great community. 

Please feel free to approach me, or any of the Officers of the Crosby Police Department, as we are here to work together with the public to enforce the law and reduce crime.

Chief Van Horn’s Biography:

I am a graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School and have 18+ years in Law Enforcement.

My work experience includes: 

Crosby Police Department (18+ Years), holding positions as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer (FTO), Defensive Tactics Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Patrol Sergeant and Lieutenant.  

Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team

Part-time Patrol and Dispatching positions with: Cuyuna Police Department and Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office
