Position: Seasonal Laborer
Duration: Approx. May – August/September (Flexible)
Pay: $21 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
Job Summary:
The City of Crosby is seeking energetic, hardworking individuals to join our Public Works team for the summer! This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and beautification of city-owned properties, including Crosby Memorial Park, the Hallett Community Center, the Library, and the City Cemetery. If you enjoy working outdoors, mowing and taking pride in your community, this is the perfect summer job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate riding mowers and push mowers on various city properties. · Operate string trimmers (weed whips) around trees, fences, and monuments. · Perform general grounds cleanup, including litter removal and emptying trash cans. · Assist with landscaping tasks such as mulching, weeding, and watering · Other duties as assigned by the Public Works Foreman.
Requirements: ·
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, sun, rain). ·
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor (standing, walking, bending) ·
Experience with landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers) is preferred but not required—we will train the right person.
